Operating revenue for the past fiscal year reached a record high due to a recovery in income following the subsidence of the COVID-19 pandemic, business restructuring, and other factors. On the other hand, we are now faced with the need to take flexible measures such as revising the course of our business strategy in response to the expected sharp rise in construction costs and higher interest rates associated with the normalization of the financial system.
Under these circumstances, we have formulated a Three-Year Medium-Term Management Plan beginning in fiscal year 2024. In order to proactively and quickly respond to possible future changes in the business environment, we will strive to "strike a balance" between improving capital efficiency and maintaining financial soundness while building a stable and growing business portfolio.
The vision statement for this plan, "Creative Act," embodies our strong determination to overcome various environmental changes and challenges “creatively and flexibly” and to work towards the "future we aspire to achieve," which is“globally admired communities”
I believe that becoming a company where every employee can shine, providing outstanding services to customers, and achieving growth in every business will translate into “Tokyu’s value” and “Tokyu’s future” and I am determined to be the driving force leading the way.
Under the Group slogan " Toward a Beautiful Age," we have always attached importance to the creation of a rich living environment and harmony with society. We will continue to work to realize "a community harmonizing with the environment " toward a decarbonized, recycling-based society, and by providing "enjoyment," "prosperity," and "beauty" that everyone desires, we aim to create a city where everyone can continue to live in peace and "create a beautiful living environment.
As the core company of the Tokyu Group, we will continuously strive to make "Tokyu" a brand that is loved and trusted by all stakeholders not only by creating new value through the promotion of collaboration across business areas as well as fulfilling our corporate social responsibility with "safety" at the foundation of all our businesses.
